Board Games for Preschoolers/Toddlers

I just recently got Pat Candyland for his 3rd birthday and he LOVES it. He asks to play it everyday and he actually can follow the directions in order to play along. He has mastered all his colors so it is a stress free game. The learning part of playing is following the board. Nate, who is just 1 year younger, follows along enough to be included...sort of. Much patience is needed with Nate when he takes the ginger bread men for a marathon run around the room when it is his turn...all the while yelling, " I want puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurple!" This image is of a much older version of the game. The board out now has about 30 more color blocks added in the road resulting in a much more compressed and cluttered appearance. The loops are more severe and makes it a little tough for Pat to figure out which direction he should be going as the loops slope up and down. It gives me a little bit of a headache looking at the swirls of colors and makes me think about what tripping would be like in the 70's.

Do you have any other suggestions for preschool/toddler board games. I am looking ahead to Christmas in my mind. (Ever the planner!)

We Tried Patrick's Costume on Early...

What do you think? It was expensive, but totally worth it!
