Walking with the Dinosaurs- The Arena Spectacular

Walking With the Dinosaurs is coming to the Verizon Center Sept 16-20th. If you have kids...or husbands who love dinosaurs this looks by far the GREATEST event to take them to.

After 65 million years they’re back!

"After years of planning, the award-winning BBC TV series, Walking with Dinosaurs comes to life in a stunning theatrical event.

Internationally renowned designers have worked with scientists to create 15 life-size dinosaurs, including the terror of the ancient terrain, Tyrannosaurus-rex! Be amazed and thrilled as the greatest creatures ever to walk the earth return before your eyes.

It’s a dazzling 10 million pound arena spectacle of unprecedented size and quality set to captivate young and old alike. Marvel at the story of their 200 million year domination of life on earth. Watch them walk. Hear the roar. Be there as they fight for survival and supremacy. From the ripple of their skin to the glint in their eye, you will know the dinosaurs really have returned! So make sure you have your seat to see the return of the dinosaurs!"

Consignment Sale in Virginia

For all of you Virginians there's the bi-annual

Lutheran Redeemer Consignment Sale
Fri. March 20th at 7-9pm and
on Sat. Mar 21st from 8-11am
at Lutheran Redeemer Church
1545 Chain Bridge Rd. McLean, VA 22101

I recommend you get there at 6:30 or as soon as the doors open at 7pm on Friday if you are on a hunt for clothes. I went there for the first time in the fall and it was a feeding frenzy...kinda scary actually. The boys' clothes were already picked over by 7:20pm when we got there. Though my friend got a shweeet deal on a double stroller so definitely get there early if you want the good stuff. They have great toys and books too! Bonus: If you are pregnant you get to skip to the front of the long check out line....I got to cut in line with my prego friend! So bring your pregnant selves and/or friends!

The Burke Nursery Pumpkin Playground: A fun, festive activity to do with young children We went today with Noah's school. Its $8 to enter. AWESOME, AWESOME - perfect for little kids: has hayrides, a ton of different little themed "playground" (like a castle, firetruck, train) with ladders and slides. The kids had a blast.
