rainy day idea to post

Hi, ladies,

Here's a great place I found for a rainy day.
Yesterday we went to Meadowside Nature Center
(5100 Meadowside Lane - off of Muncaster Mill Rd
between Rt 28 and Avery) and it was AWESOME.  They
have two live owls, a dugout canoe, a big room set up
like a forest that includes a pond with turtles and
catfish, a lot of stuffed animals (including a hawk
swooping in for a terrified-looking squirrel - hey
kids, want to learn about survival of the fittest?)
and - coolest of all - a tunnel that you can crawl
through to see the inside of a cave and that you exit
via a slide.  There is also a back room with puzzles,
lots of icky bugs in terrariums and more.  Plus, we
were the only ones there!  Tons of fun for kids of all
ages.
