Many of you know my mom, Dorrie Gleason. For those of you who have experienced her cooking, this announcement will come as a no-brainer. But for those who have not, my mother is a true culinary artist.
I say that not because she is my mom, but because she has been cooking since she was a small girl, taught by her mother, Philomena - a first generation Italian immigrant. In her time, "Nuna" (as I called her) was also known for her uncanny ability to work magic in the kitchen. Her philosophy was that food was not just nourishment for our bodies, but, because it was prepared for and shared with our loved ones -- it was something that would also nourish the soul.
It is in her spirit that we invite you to join us as we launch silver*fig cuisine, a new culinary arts company offering personal chef services and cooking education. Please take a look at our Holiday class offerings and join us for two nights of food, fun and holiday cheer!
